Cat treat cookbook

by on Aug.04, 2011, under Uncategorized

The Ultimate Cat Treat Cookbook by Liz Palika. I have owned my copy of the dog treat version of The Ultimate Cat Treat Cookbook and I absolutely love the book. Just like the dog version the cat version has easy to follow recipes. The recipes within the book use easy to find ingredients and are easy to reproduce. If my cats weren’t so ornery I might be tempted to pamper them like I do the dog.
Trivia:

1,001 Things You Always Wanted to Know About Cats by J. Stephan Lang. One thousand and one things you really don’t need to know, but many of the facts and stories are quite interesting. This book had to take years of research to find all of the trivia! There are chapters on cat breeds, notable people and their cats, cat health, and so much more. One thousand and one things will make a great gift for any cat lover who is also into sharing unnecessary facts and trivia.
Holiday:

Catmas Carols by Laurie Laughlin. I enjoyed reading all the holiday tunes in Catmas Carols turned into cat themed holiday songs. The holiday cat songs would make great tunes for Christmas shows and pagents everywhere. After reading three or four of the songs in Catmas Carols I bought one copy for myself, one for my sister who is totally into her cat, and one for our church Sunday School Choir Director. I can’t wait to hear the little kids sing some of these fun songs at this years Christmas program!

Books for cat lovers

by on Aug.04, 2011, under Uncategorized

Some people are just difficult to buy for on birthdays and especially on holidays. They either already have everything or never truly appreciate the gifts they do receive. Does this describe someone on your list? Is that someone a cat lover and a book lover? If so then this is your guide to holiday shopping for the cat loving, book reading loved one on your list. You will find suggestions for humorous books, cookbooks, and more. Every book is under $25 and easily found at book stores such as Barnes and Nobles, Half Price books, or try online at Amazon.com or Half.com.
Humorous:

How to Massage Your Cat by Alice M. Brook. I almost died laughing the first time I read How to Massage Your Cat. The book is a hilarious step by step guide for cat massage. This book is fully illustrated which helps add to the ironic humor of this book. How to Massage Your Cat would make a great gift for an adult or a young child, as long as the child understands that the book is not real, a cat could be seriously injuried by following some of the steps. Leave How to Massage Your Cat on your coffee table as a great ice breaker during dinner parties.

Your Cat’s Just Not that Into You by Richard Smith. Your Cat’s Just Not that Into You is a humourous, but realistic parody on cat behavior. The book includes behavior quizzes, checklists, and question and answer chapters. The book also talks about the five “Great Behavorial Equations” between cats and their owners. Your Cat’s Just Not That Into You would make a great gift for any cat owner. It is like a self help book for cats and their owners, a guide to understanding your cat.
